Today was the day of the event. We were all ready and there was only one thing that was blocking our way to success: COLD. It was windy but we had a lot of our sponsors show up and stay as well as inflatables, dance shows, and food vendors that showed up for our event. We hoped for a better day and was given a day of snow. We made the best of it and Chris, Brandon and Kyle had fun working the inflatables, Charlie, Alex, and Trey had fun working on stage and Josh had a blast working with the vendors. The set up looked great and our volunteers worked very hard and we hoped that they had a good time, despite the cold. We thank all of our sponsors and vendors and everyone else who came out to help and participate in the event. We hope to see you next year and Let's Get Together.

Today Charlie, Josh, and Trey went to the radio station of the Ken Coleman Show. It is WDUN or for the people who listen to FM radio it is 102.9. For the AM people on the radio it is 550. We explained what the event is and what we are going to be doing tomorrow. It was a very fun experience and we were all nervous. We hope that you are all going to come to the event TOMORROW!! Let's Get Together.

Today, the Gwinnett Daily Post came out with an article about Cultures of Suwanee. We had an interview the day before, discussing with the editor about what the event is about. We were all very excited for the great news and we hope you go and find the article. The paper included what we were doing, when  it is, and who is coming. Also, tomorrow the T-Shirts are coming in for us and volunteers. Tomorrow we go on the radio and then the next day is Cultures of Suwanee Day. We really hope to see you there. Let's Get Together.

Today we got our banners and hung them up in the center of our school .It is looking very good, and we hope that it will attract more people to the event. The putting up of the banner was difficult  but we found a great way to make it stay on the wall. Also, we confirmed our spot on the radio. We are going to be on 102.9 and will be on at 5:35. So come listen

Today in Town Center, the group planned a photo shoot with a nice photographer from Suwanee Magazine to take our photos. Besides it being freezing outside, it was a very nice opportunity to get advertisement out into the public. The photos will be posted in the Suwanee Magazine and hopefully will be on the website in no time. When the pictures are on the website, go to the tab labeled Pictures to find us there.      Wow! Today was absolutely fantastic for the CoS team. We went to Suwanee Town Center and had a great meeting with the Events Coordinator, Mrs.Amy Doherty, who by the way is super awesome. Mrs. Doherty got us some valuable information that we defiantly needed to help make our event great. One of the people that we met here was John LeRoux with 3guysentertainment.  This corporation is supplying Cultures of Suwanee with all of our inflatables and a couple other treats for all of our CoS attendees. We also learned a lot about event organizing while we were there; some of the other attendees were people like the Suwanee day and Taste of Suwanee coordinators who gave us a few "tricks of the trade" to help us out since this is our first year. We hope to see you at Cultures of Suwanee. Lets Get Together!

Today the Cos team worked to solidify current sponsors and vendors. We are excited to say that we have achieved multiple vendors and sponsors. If you would like to be a sponsor or vendor, there is a tab for both. The CoS team is happy to say that we will be attending a meeting with the city of Suwanee tomorrow. At this meeting, we hope to collect valuable information so that we can make this event bigger, better, and more fun for all of our fellow residents. CoS wants to give a huge shout out to Taste Jamaica for being not only a sponsor but also a vendor so while you are attending the Cultures of Suwanee look out for Taste of Jamaica and there amazing jerk chicken. We hope to see you at Cultures of Suwanee. Lets get Together.

Wow, today was great. We, the CoS team just wanted to thank all of the great people for signing up to be volunteers. Our Director of Volunteers, Brandon Wade (also Stage Manager), was over run today by the ready and willing student volunteers of the NGHS Studio. In one day we went from a measly 12 volunteers to 25 dedicated and respected members of the North Gwinnett High School Studio program. We want to thank 3 guys entertainment for providing the Cultures of Suwanee team with inflatables and booths for our vendors. We hope to see everyone at Cultures of Suwanee on March 2, 2013. Lets get together!

Today has been a crazy day for the CoS team. It started out a normal day for the CoS team; e-mails were sent, budgets were balance, meetings we scheduled. We decided that we need to make a few phone calls to some Greek and Middle Eastern restaurants, to add some of there culture, but when we were researching some places to get in contact with we made one horrible mistake. We were panicked when we found out, we had no idea what to do; we had forgotten to write which phone number goes with which business.  We decided that we were going to have to go back and find out which phone number belonged to which restaurant. This took a long time especially sorting through our yes's, maybe's, and no's. After this frenzy everything else went smoothly. We hope to see you at Cultures of Suwanee on March 2nd. Lets ge together!

Today we needed to find entertainment for the event. We were emailing many businesses for their cooperation to perform for our event. We still need a few people to fill the few open slots. We are happy to say that Cheekys Taqurilla, Marcos pizza, and Taste Jamaica have donated to CoS. In other news Josh Lorenz (Cultures of Suwanee team member) is going to meet with Publix tomorrow. Hopefully Publix is going to donate and help us financially  We were also in contact with many businesses about having booths and sponsoring the event. If you want to sponsor or have a booth, email us at [email protected].WE hope to see you at the Cultures of Suwanee on March 2nd. Let's Get Together!
